Our Leadership Team
Miss Tami is the heart of our village and our amazing owner. She has worked in the early childhood education field for over 35 years. She has taught kindergarten, pre-k, and diverse learners, and has been an executive director of multiple childcare centers. Miss Tami earned her degree in education and began her career in the public schools of Boston. After having her three amazing children, she transitioned into the role of a pre-k teacher and then an executive director. She has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in behavior modification, social-emotional development, and designing developmentally appropriate curriculum. Her favorite part about her role is creating a high-quality childcare community where all children can thrive. She loves being silly with the children, conducting felt stories, and helping children reach their full potential. Miss Tami is a science fanatic and loves watching as the children's eyes fill with curiosity and awe during science experiments! Her goal when opening Village Academy was to create an environment that promotes kindness and provides high-quality childcare, instilling a love of learning in the children they care for. She is thankful for the community they have created because it truly takes a village!

Jessica Waters | Director
Miss Jess is our fantastic director at Village Academy! With over 15 years of experience in the childcare field, her dedication and expertise have greatly contributed to the success of our center. Since its opening in 2021, we have had the pleasure of witnessing her passion and commitment firsthand. Miss Jess takes great joy in stepping into each classroom to see the children wholeheartedly engaging and getting the opportunity to bond with each and every child. Miss Jess understands how important it is to build strong relationships with the children, families, and teachers and prides herself on those connections.

Miss Ava | Lead Nursery Teacher
Miss Ava is our lead nursery teacher. With over 7 years of experience in childcare and recently receiving her Infant/Toddler CDA, she is dedicated to providing high-quality care for the children. Ava's enthusiasm and love for her work is evident. Her favorite activity is creating and exploring messy sensory bins and exploring the outdoors with her students. Her nurturing and empathetic teaching style demonstrates her commitment to building strong connections with her students. She ensures that every child gets a strong and compassionate start to their preschool journey, laying a solid foundation for their future growth and learning.
Miss Nadine | Nursery Teacher
Miss Nadine is one of our nursery and toddler teachers! She has 25 years of experience in childcare, including 13 years teaching pre-kindergarten, one year with toddlers, and one year in private kindergarten. For the past 10 years, she has been teaching infants, which is her favorite age group. She loves watching the children grow, achieve their milestones, and see their personalities blossom.
Miss Olivia | Nursery Teacher's Assistant
Miss Olivia is our nursery teacher's assistant. You can usually find her in the nursery, but she is eager to help anywhere she can! She has always loved children and has experience in private childcare, but she is excited to begin her journey in a daycare setting. Her favorite parts of her job are forming bonds with her students, giving lots of hugs, and improving her skills with guidance from the lead teachers. She is committed to learning and growing in this field and brings a fresh excitement to the classroom.

Miss Gianna | Waddler Teacher
Miss Gianna is a teacher in the waddler room! She brings a wealth of experience to her role, having been a mother for 8 years and working in daycares for 5 years. Miss Gianna finds immense joy in witnessing the children's growth and learning as they discover new things. She also takes pride in forming strong connections with both the children and their families, knowing that these bonds contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
Miss Larissa | Waddler Teacher
Miss Larissa is one of our Waddler teachers! She has been working in childcare for 3 years and she truly enjoys creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children can grow and learn. Her favorite part ofbeing a teacher is watching each child's unique personality shine as they discovernew skills and build confidence. She enjoys dancing and communicating with them! She has experience with all age groups supporting their learning through play, creativity, and structure. She believes in patience, kindness, and making every child feel seen and valued.
Miss Stephanie | Toddler Teacher
Miss Stephanie is one of our Toddler Teachers! For the past four years, Miss Stephanie has had the privilege of working in childcare, starting with infants and then transitioning to toddlers and preschoolers. Her journey has been incredibly rewarding, filled with laughter and meaningful connections as she witnessed their growth. Recently, she completed her early childhood education studies, and as a first-time mom to her 3-year-old son, Aksel, she truly understands the trust parents place in caregivers. She cherishes every moment with her son while navigating the joys of parenthood.
Miss Michayla | Toddler Teacher
Miss Michayla is a dedicated passionate teacher in our Toddler classroom, where she creates a warm and nurturing environment for young learners. With 2.5 years experience in child care, she has developed a deep understanding of early childhood development and the unique needs of toddlers. In addition to her professional experience, Miss Michayla is also a mother of three, which has given her valuable insights into parenting and child growth.
Miss Abby | Toddler Teacher
Miss Abby is a teacher in the toddler room with over a year of experience in childcare. She truly shines in her role and loves embracing her inner child alongside the kids, making the experience joyful for everyone. She has built meaningful connections with each of her students and their families. Being part of their early development brings her immense happiness, and she can't imagine doing anything else!

Miss Melanie can catch onto each classroom's routine quickly and is currently thriving in her position! Her favorite part about working in childcare is bringing smiles to all her babies' faces and always giving the kids the biggest hugs. Miss Melanie has so much joy and compassion!
Miss Marina | Toddler/Preschool Teacher
Miss Marina is one of our toddler/preschool teachers! With three to four years of experience, she has worked with children aged three to five in diverse settings such as daycare facilities, preschools, pre-kindergartens, and homes. Marina has a proven track record of creating and delivering engaging lessons and activities to support the holistic development of her students. Her passion for teaching is evident in her joy in witnessing children's growth and progress.
Miss Jena | Toddler/Preschool Teacher
Miss Jena is one of our toddler/preschool teachers. She has one year of experience as a toddler and preschool teacher, along with six months of experience in ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis). Her favorite part about being a teacher is witnessing her students learn new concepts, achieve their goals, and knowing that she is making a positive impact on their lives.
Miss Kaitlyn | Toddler/Preschool Assistant
Miss Kaitlyn is a teacher's assistant working in the Toddler/Preschool room. She has experience working with children of all ages as a babysitter and nanny, ranging from 1 to 12 years old. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is making the children happy and seeing them come to daycare every day with a smile on their face. Her main priority is to ensure that they are smiling, feel loved, and consider the daycare a comfortable place for them to grow and learn.

Miss Katie | Preschool Teacher
Miss Katie is one our Preschool teachers and has worked in a classroom since 2012, with experience from infants through Pre-K. She became certified in 2013, encouraged by her first Director who recognized her gift.
Miss Katie believes strong relationships-with children, families, teachers, and directors- are key to helping every child succeed. Her favorite part of teaching is building connections with each child and sharing their joy and pride.
She brings creativity to the classroom, using songs, play, and hands-on tools to support social-emotional growth in a fun,safe environment. Her background in mental health with adults, teens, and adolescents helps her create a calm, caring space where every child feels supported.
Miss Olivia | Preschool Teacher
Miss Olivia is our amazing preschool teacher who brings seven years of dedicated childcare experience to her role. Her passion for helping children is evident in her commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all the children in her care. She goes above and beyond to foster growth and exploration by immersing herself in playful and messy activities with the children. Miss Olivia's genuine love for childcare shines through in her daily interactions with the children and her support for her coworkers.
Miss Maryann | Pre-K Lead Teacher
Miss Maryann is our exceptional lead pre-K teacher, with an extensive wealth of knowledge and many years of valuable experience. Additionally, she has raised her own children, which further enriches her understanding of early childhood development. Her dedication to childcare is evident in her favorite aspect of the job, which is fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere at the center. She prioritizes inclusion, ensuring that both parents and coworkers feel like integral parts of the childcare community. Miss Maryann is admired for her exceptional organizational skills and her ability to create a structured routine that benefits the children in her care.

Miss Danielle is one of our Pre-K teachers and has been working in childcare for four years. As a natural-born educator and leader, Miss Danielle retains the admiration of her students. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is truly inspiring.

Miss Michelle is our assistant pre-k teacher. She has two years of experience in childcare, and many more being a mother. One of the aspects she finds most rewarding about being a teacher is witnessing the growth and development of the children under her care. She takes great joy in supporting and nurturing the little ones as they reach important milestones in their early years!
Miss Avery | Floating Teacher's Assistant
Miss Avery is a teacher’s assistant in many rooms at our center. She has five years of experience working with children of all ages! Her favorite thing about teaching is watching them hit incredible, memorable milestones and develop into their personalities as they grow, and she also loves making meaningful connections with them.
